I briefly considered using this for the first layout of the comic, but I just couldn't get it to seem believeable. I love the colours, but not the way I coloured it. I used the airbrush tool when I should have probably used the paintbrush tool.
It was a happy accident. I actually started out with the face, and it sort of grew from there. The musculature is off a bit, I think, but really, I think it's one of the best ones I've done so far this year.
I love the detail in the fence, especially the holes in the post. I want to eventually go back and fix this. I did a digitally inked and coloured version of this in Photoshop, but I think this one just looks nicer.
